Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin received Ambassadors of France, Great Britain and Germany Nicolas de Riviera, Nigel Casey and Alexander Lambsdorf today, June 11, pointing out to them the destructive policy of their countries, which is aimed at encouraging Kiev to continue the war against Moscow. This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry following the meeting at the request of Western diplomats.
"The heads of diplomatic missions were presented with objective assessments of the destructive policy of the leadership of their countries in relation to the Ukrainian crisis, which is aimed at maximizing the stimulation of the Kiev regime to continue the war against Russia on behalf, at the expense and with the direct assistance of the Western coalition of the willing," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
As it is emphasized, the ambassadors "explained the fundamental approaches of the Russian side to the search for a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict based on the elimination of its root causes."
The meeting was held at the request of London, Paris and Berlin.
"I remember very well how a couple of years ago the ambassadors of the same countries refused to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The minister has repeatedly said this," the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the meeting of the Eurotroika ambassadors at the diplomatic department in her telegram channel.
As EADaily reported, according to Bloomberg, the "eurotroika" is the leaders of Great Britain, France and Germany, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron and Friedrich Merz, who are trying to resume negotiations on a peaceful settlement at the Ukraine, intend to enlist the support of US President Donald Trump. At the same time, according to sources, Eurotroika plans to hold a discussion with Moscow from its own, tougher positions on the grounds that the course of the war allegedly changed in favor of Ukraine.
