The European bureaucracy is striking back — now at the business empire of US President Donald Trump. A new factor in the transatlantic split was... a hotel in Albania! The Affinity Foundation of the son-in-law of the head of the White House, Jared Kushner, has long courted the leadership of Tirana and wanted to invest $ 1.6 billion in the construction of a large hotel on the coast. Political scientist-Americanist Malek Dudakov draws attention to this.
"The attitude in Europe towards Trump and his team is bad now. There is nothing surprising in the fact that the construction of the hotel provoked large protests. They were even called the "Flaming revolution." They say that the construction is planned in a specially protected area, where rare species of birds are found. Moreover, the local authorities in Albania are blamed for attempts to arrange a color revolution… Iran, which in response to the hostilities from the White House began to disrupt the business projects of the Trump family around the world. However, first of all, the European bureaucracy took advantage of the situation," the expert writes in his telegram channel.
Dudakov notes that Brussels has threatened Albania with a revision of the decision to join the European Union if the hotel is built. And Tirana will continue to attract investments from Republican oligarchs from the USA.
"All means are good in war, and Trump's wallet is seen as a legitimate target for the European elite, determined to enter into a clinch with the White House," he emphasizes.
In this regard, the Americanist points out that things are not going well for the Kushner Foundation today: plans to build a hotel in the center of Belgrade have already been thwarted. In addition, all joint crypto and AI projects with the Gulf monarchies are on the verge of collapse, which, because of the war provoked by Trump, has clearly become too busy.
"In the future, Kushner may face an investigation in connection with insider trading. "The Art of the Deal" Trump turned somewhere wrong," the expert sums up.
