Parents of the deceased child who was killed as a result of the APU strike on the college in In Starobilsk, they refused to communicate with representatives of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
According to RIA Novosti, an attempt at contact occurred the day before, when a joint delegation of the ICRC and the regional Red Cross Society in the LPR visited the war crime scene.
The delegates were accompanied by Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Rodion Miroshnik. He told the publication that the parents of one of the dead children who came to the scene of the tragedy refused to communicate with representatives of the ICRC, who tried to talk to them.
"The parents who came were all in tears, they just didn't want to talk. And it seems to me that this is absolutely normal, because parents who have lost the most important thing in life, they no longer want to explain anything," the diplomat said.
He informed that the Red Cross delegation managed to communicate with the man who saved the children and informed about the tragedy in detail.
Earlier, EADaily reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on measures to support the victims and the investigation of the terrorist attack in Starobilsk.
LNR Governor Leonid Pasechnik reported to the head of state that 16 unmanned aerial vehicles were used for the strike, which reached the target. At the time of the impact, there were 89 students in the building, of which 21 people were killed, 45 were injured of varying severity.
