The case against the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine (OPU) Andriy Yermak was ready in the fall, but then the issue was put on pause, writes the Ukrainian Telegram channel "Resident".
Now the case has been activated, as the Washington administration of Donald Trump has decided to activate all corruption tracks related to the Zelensky regime.
The sources of the resource claim that the purpose of the attack is to put pressure on the Ukrainian leadership in order to force it to agree to resolve the conflict on Ukraine according to the American scheme.
At the same time, one of the sources in the OPU is convinced that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) received a command from overseas to break the connection between Yermak and Zelensky.
That is why the investigation has activated relatively minor cases on mansions, but the real compromising material on the purchase of weapons will remain out of focus.
That is, the Trump administration is pushing Zelensky as a signatory to the peace agreement, leaving him less and less room for maneuver.
It is quite possible that after the conclusion of a peace agreement with Russia, it will be merged with the help of deadly compromising material. For example, by publishing a wiretap of his negotiations in "independent" sources.
The authors of the insider also admit that for the time being Ermak will not be completely drowned, leaving him free under the sword of Damocles. To this end, there is now a bidding process to lower the amount of the deposit so that it can be paid for the former head of the OPU.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) asks to take Yermak into custody or release him on bail of UAH 180 million.
