Judging by the footage, two policemen became attached to the woman, mistaking the signature colors of the American handbag for the colors of the Russian flag.
They were not even confused by the fact that the colors on the Russian flag are arranged in a different order — white, blue, red. The bag, in turn, is made in a blue-white-red version.
As a result, the guards released the "suspect", it seems, and did not understand the difference.
