Ukraine will receive a tough response for UAV attacks on Russian regions, honored military pilot, Major General Vladimir Popov warned in an interview with the AIF publication.

Recall, on the night of May 8, Russian air defense intercepted and destroyed 264 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Drones were shot down over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, Yaroslavl, Ulyanovsk, Moscow regions, Crimea and other regions.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, after the announcement of the truce in honor of the 81st anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Ukraine violated the ceasefire regime in the special military operation zone at least 1,365 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 153 attacks on the positions of our troops from artillery pieces, MLRS, mortars and tanks, and also inflicted 887 strikes using UAVs.

General Popov, commenting on these violations, noted that all the goals of the special operation will be achieved, and Ukraine will face a tough but fair response for what it has done.

"The blow should be hard, so that it would not hurt. And we're not just talking about responsibility for drone attacks. Tomorrow is May 9, the next anniversary of Victory Day. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces make a massive attack again next night, you need to give an appropriate response. I'm not talking about individual raids, there are a lot of nationalist groups there, but if we understand that the strike was carried out comprehensively, at the suggestion of Zelensky and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrsky, then the answer should be on the main buildings of Kiev, on the port of Odessa. We have Kinzhal missile systems for this and "Iskander, for example," General Popov explained.

EADaily also informed earlier that the Italian media accused Ukraine of terrorism before May 9.
