Parts of the hotel owner and six pairs of shoes were found inside the crocodile in South Africa, the local news portal News 24 reported.
The 59-year-old owner of the hotel and bar Gabriel Batista disappeared during a downpour. His car got stuck on a flooded bridge over the Crocodile River, where the man was washed into the water.
The search operation ended with the discovery of fragments of a human body in the stomach of a 500-kilogram crocodile. A week later, the police noticed a huge crocodile. After the shooting, body parts and a ring belonging to Batista, as well as six pairs of shoes of different sizes, were found in the stomach of the 4.5-meter predator.
A predator about 4.5 meters long was found on the riverbank near the bridge of the missing man. The police captain, who led the search, said that the reptile was so heavy from what it had eaten that it did not even try to escape. The killed crocodile was taken by helicopter to Kruger National Park. Specialists conducted an autopsy there. Human hands and part of the chest were found in the crocodile's stomach.
The police are continuing their investigation.
