President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian. This was reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader on April 30.
It is reported that the conversation took place on the initiative of the Iranian side.
"Masud Pezeshkian informed the Belarusian head of state about the situation in the Persian Gulf region, as well as about the position of official Tehran in negotiations with the United States of America. The interlocutors stated that the main stumbling block for the development of peace agreements is the lack of trust," the report says.
It is noted that the Belarusian leader "stressed the interest of our country in the soonest settlement of the conflict."
"In turn, the Iranian President thanked Alexander Lukashenko for his principled and consistent position," the press service of the Belarusian leader reported.
