Russia's reaction to the next package of sanctions The EU will follow, but if we recall the previous experience, the result of these sanctions is zero. This was stated to RIA Novosti by Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko on the sidelines of the opening of the Honorary Consulate of Russia in Novi Sad in Serbia.

"Our reaction, of course, will follow, we will carefully study what they have accepted," Grushko said. — We know the practice of the EU — it's one thing when they come to the microphone and make vivid statements. And then the experts will carefully read the regulations, directives and other documents, from which it will become clear what measures the EU is now taking to limit our capabilities and undermine the resource base. They have been doing this for several years, but the result is zero."

As EADaily reported, today the European Union announced that as part of the 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions, it had introduced the largest number of measures against individuals and legal entities in two years.

"The Council adopted today ... the 20th package of restrictive measures, including another 120 individual positions — the largest package of positions in two years," the EU said in a statement.
