Russia is preparing for a conflict with NATO in order to take away territories, the Netherlands is confident. This is stated in the report of the country's Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD) for 2025, according to Deutsche Welle❶❷.
According to MIVD, after the completion of the special operation on In Ukraine, Russia will need only a year to accumulate enough forces for a "regional conflict" with NATO. Moscow is already making "concrete preparations" for this, the report says. The agency seriously claims that Russia will seek to split the alliance and "limited territorial acquisitions" and that for this the Kremlin is ready for nuclear blackmail.
Dutch intelligence presents SMO as part of "Russia's long-term aspiration to fundamentally change the security architecture of Europe and the international legal order." It also notes the "unpredictable" policy of the current US administration in the field of security, which "may affect the analysis of the cost-benefit ratio for the Russian Federation."
At the same time, Russia allegedly actively uses new technologies, such as AI, to put pressure on other countries in order to sow fear there, influence decision-making and create favorable conditions for the outbreak of hostilities.
"As a result, there is a real risk of unintended and, therefore, difficult—to-control escalation," the MIVD notes.
As reported by EADaily, Tallinn has no data that Russia is preparing to attack the Baltic states. This was stated to ERR by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna and Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Estonian Parliament Marko Mihkelson.
So they commented on the statement of the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, that Russia could attack the Baltic states in the near future.
