Poland does not intend to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in the European Diving Championships, contrary to the decision of the International Water Sports Federation (World Aquatics).
This position was voiced in the comments of Polskie Radio by the head of the Polish Swimming Federation Otylia Enzheychak.
"If the military situation does not change, we will not allow athletes from Russia and Belarus are invited to participate," she said.
Thus, Warsaw will ignore the decision of the international federation, which allowed both countries to perform under their own flags.
Recall that a few days ago, World Aquatics decided to resume the admission of athletes from Belarus and Russia to participate in adult competitions with state symbols.
As EADaily reported, the Estonian Swimming Union condemned this decision of the International Federation. In this regard, Tallinn refused to host water sports competitions on its territory in the coming years.
