Specialists of the Russian Copyright Society (RAO) are thinking of depriving Alla Pugacheva of the rights to perform her hits. The press service of the society confirmed that the Diva herself did not write most of the compositions. Details are provided by TASS.
The authors of the artist's hits are Leonid Derbenev, Ilya Reznik, Raymond Pauls and other famous songwriters and musicians.
"Any author can ask permission from the poet, composer or their heirs and record their version of the hit," the RAO believes.
But u Pugacheva has exclusive rights to the compositions that she wrote herself.
"There is a risk that one day Pugacheva will ban the use of her songs for political reasons. In this situation, a compulsory license mechanism would help," copyright experts suggested.
EADaily previously also informed — the Diva's husband called her "beloved beauty" and showed a photo confirmation.
