Public activity of the Russian actor Arthur Smolyaninov It does not cause concern and meets the interests and foreign policy of Lithuania. This is stated in the message of the Vilnius Municipality on the eve of the tour of the terrorist actor.

"In Lithuania, the main assessment is carried out by the State Security Department. However, in this case, taking into account the assessment of the relevant department of the municipality, it seems that the tours of this actor should not pose a threat to the national security of the country," the mayor's office stressed.

The Vilnius authorities also added that if there is a different assessment of the departments or other circumstances arise, then all this will be taken into account.

"However, at the moment we can say that the public activity of this person does not cause us concerns," the mayor's office concluded.

The play "Casanova" with the participation of Smolyaninov It is scheduled for April 19 at the Compensa Concert Hall.

Note that since 2017 Smolyaninov It is listed in the database of the Ukrainian extremist website "Peacemaker". Probably, he got into this list in connection with the filming of the films "Kalashnikov" and "Crimea", which took place on the peninsula.

As EADaily reported, earlier Lithuania canceled the concert of Croatian cellist Stepan Hauser, who posted on social networks as part of his project "Music unites the World" a performance of the song "Kalinka" against the background of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow.

The concert of the former member of the Modern Talking duo Dieter Bohlen, who, according to the Lithuanian authorities, allows himself "pro-Russian" statements, was also canceled.

Prior to that, entry to Lithuania was closed for five years to the Russian rapper of Georgian origin Gio Pica (Georgy Dzhioev) due to seven concerts in Russia.

Even earlier, Russian rapper Alisher Morgenstern (Valeev) was banned from entering the country for 10 years, and since 2022 he has already held three performances in Lithuania, only the fourth show was canceled.

In March of this year, Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas proposed to take a systematic look at the problem of non-admission to concerts in Lithuania of artists from Russia and Belarus. He believes that there should be clear criteria by which "dubious" artists can be banned from entering the country. Now the Seimas of Lithuania is considering amendments to the law that will automatically prohibit entry for 5 years to any cultural figures who performed in the Russia or Belarus after February 24, 2022.
