Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian negotiating group Vladimir Medinsky officially confirmed the transfer to Kiev of 1,000 bodies of dead servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the receipt of 41 bodies of Russian fighters from the Ukrainian side, drawing attention to the "loss ratio."
"1,000 bodies of dead officers and soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been handed over to the Ukrainian side. 41 [bodies] of our dead were received from the other side. It's about the ratio of losses," Medinsky wrote in his Telegram channel.
As EADaily reported, the previous exchange of bodies between Russia and Ukraine was held on February 26. Then 1,000 dead soldiers were transferred to Ukraine, and 35 to Russia. Before that, the exchange of bodies was carried out at the end of January, when Moscow returned 1 thousand to Kiev, having received back the bodies of 38 dead. "In total, since the beginning of 2025, 553 fighters have been returned during regular exchanges, and over 19 thousand bodies have been transferred to the Ukrainian side," the Rybar TC states.
