Military correspondents note Moscow's "extremely strange multidirectional" actions against the United States

military correspondents are discussing, in their opinion, Moscow's "extremely strange multidirectional" diplomatic steps towards the United States: Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that American negotiators cannot be trusted, and a delegation of State Duma deputies went to hold meetings in Washington.

The authors of the telegram channel "Two Majors" cite Lavrov's words:

"About the violation of international law by the United States and Israel in I'm not telling you about Iran. This is a fact that is not denied by anyone, including the leadership of the French Republic, as well as a number of other EU countries. And on other continents, everyone understands everything perfectly. I would like to emphasize that there was a negotiation process both in June 2025 and in February 2026."
"And the strikes without a declaration of war, for no reason, took place in the midst of these negotiations, on the eve of the next scheduled round. This, of course, is treachery. I will mention once again that this raises questions for many in relation to the role played by American negotiators," the head of the diplomatic department said.

In this regard, military correspondents draw conclusions:

"Then why did a delegation of Russian State Duma deputies arrive in the United States yesterday? Extremely strange diplomatically multidirectional actions. It's as if everyone wants to record the result of negotiations on their own department, interfering with the other."

As reported by EADaily, the head of the State Duma delegation, Vice Speaker Boris Chernyshov, said earlier that the deputies managed to bring their position to the American congressmen during meetings in Washington. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov confirmed that President Vladimir Putin gave the delegation the necessary instructions, noting that "this is a very necessary direction of dialogue between the two countries, which was absolutely frozen."

A meeting with representatives of the US Congress is scheduled for March 26, and talks with the federal government delegation at President Donald Trump's Institute of Peace are scheduled for March 27.
