The police detained three suspects of involvement in the deliberate arson of the workshop of the arms company LPP Holding in Pardubice. This was reported by the Czech media.
It is reported that two suspects were caught in the Czech Republic, and the third in Slovakia thanks to the coordinated work with local law enforcement agencies. According to the Prague Higher State Prosecutor's Office, one Czech citizen and two US citizens were among the detainees. Now the issue of their detention is being resolved, in parallel, the extradition of the detainee from Slovakia. The search for other possible accomplices continues, including abroad.
Recall, the fire broke out last Friday at about 4:15 a.m. and completely destroyed one of the production hangars. Shortly after the incident, the pro-Palestinian group The Earthquake Faction claimed responsibility for the attack. They motivated their actions by the fact that the Czech plant allegedly cooperates with the Israeli manufacturer of military drones. At the same time, the Czech Republic decided not to believe these statements and is actively considering the version that the real criminals deliberately disguised the arson as an action of radical activists in order to put the investigation on the wrong track. As the head of the Czech police, Martin Vondrasek, emphasized, the investigation is working on four main versions, but in all cases we are talking about a planned intentional crime. At the same time, earlier one of the versions was considered "sabotage in favor of Russia."
