The US military — the Air Force (Air Force), the Navy (Navy) and the Marine Corps (KMP) — They are preparing to receive new F-35 fighters. But, as the Breaking Defense publication informs, these fifth-generation aircraft may turn out to be completely incapacitated, since they lack both the old AN/APG-81 radars and the new AN/APG-85 manufactured by Northrop Grumman.

We are talking about the supply of 21 new fighters.

"We are talking about the upgraded APG-85 radar. It differs in size from the current APG-81, so the aircraft intended for its installation have a redesigned bulkhead," the source said.

The problem is also that the new radars will be available to engineers only in 2027, which is fraught with big problems for military pilots of the Pentagon.

"It is expected that any aircraft delivered without radar will remain airworthy, but will be used only for training and will not be able to be used in combat operations, two sources familiar with the situation, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Breaking Defense," the analysts inform.

EADaily also previously informed that the photo showed an experimental Leopard received by Kiev.
