Fico called for the dismissal of Kaya Callas so that the European Union could negotiate on Ukraine

It is necessary to make drastic personnel changes in the leadership of the European Union so that Europe can claim a place at the negotiating table on Ukraine.

Such an appeal was made by the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, during his speech on STVR radio, the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico.

"Now they are starting to say in the European Union that we should be more active in peace initiatives regarding the war in Ukraine, that we should negotiate. Excuse me, but who will negotiate with Kaya Kallas or Ursula von der Leyen?" the politician asked.

In his opinion, one of the strong leaders in the EU should take on the role of a negotiator. Fico noted that he had already discussed this issue with French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

As a first step in the implementation of his plan, the Slovak Prime Minister proposed to dismiss Kaya Kallas from the post of European Commissioner for Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, EADaily reported that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, in his speech before the Bundestag, demanded from US President Donald Trump a place for Europe at the negotiating table on Ukraine.
