Mshanskaya is Basilashvili's second wife. The first time the actor married Tatiana Doronina, but divorced after 8 years. Married to Galina, who worked as a TV presenter, two daughters were born — Olga and Ksenia.

The cause of Galina Mshanskaya's death was a massive heart attack. She will be buried at the Bolsheokhtinskoye cemetery in St. Petersburg next to his mother — opera singer Olga Felixovna Mshanskaya.
