Iran issued a sharp warning to Azerbaijan, demanding the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the country. This is reported by the Iranian state television.
The Iranian Armed Forces, despite large-scale hostilities, tried not to damage the national security and interests of friendly, neighboring and Muslim countries, said a representative of the IRGC's Khatam al-Anbia Central Command Post.
"We declare to the neighboring country, the Republic of Azerbaijan, as a Muslim country, that in order to prevent the spread of instability in the region, it is necessary to withdraw the Zionists from their country and not endanger the security of their own people and Islamic Iran," he said.
Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Larijani, in turn, said that "when the enemy attacks us from bases in the region, we respond and will respond — this is our right and sustainable policy."
"We have no problems with the Republic of Azerbaijan, but if a conspiracy against Iran is carried out from the territory of this country, we will react. The countries of the region must either prevent the US from using their territory against Iran, or we will do it," he stressed.
As reported by EADaily, the Iranian ambassador to Baku Mojtaba Demirchilu said in an interview with Baku TV that there are various versions regarding the drone attack on the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
"There are various versions regarding the drone attack on Nakhichevan. Iran and Azerbaijan should consider this issue, clarify the details and resolve the situation," Demircilu said.
