The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, in cooperation with the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation, identified and suppressed the illegal activities of a Russian citizen born in 1958.
This was reported on Thursday, March 5 by the FSB Public Relations Center (PSC). It is specified that the defendant was serving his sentence in one of the correctional institutions of the Krasnodar Territory.
It is established that the malefactor incited other prisoners to high treason. To this end, the convict persuaded his cellmates to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and leave for the SMO zone.
It was assumed that after that it would be necessary to switch to the side of the enemy in order to join the Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation.
"The investigative department of the FSB of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory has initiated and is investigating a criminal case against the recruiter on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 33, part 1.1 of Article 205.1 (assistance to terrorist activities) and Article 275 (preparation for incitement to treason) of the Criminal Code of Russia," the FSB.
The department stressed that responsibility for this crime provides for punishment up to life imprisonment.
