The United States is the main cause of the violation of the established international nuclear order and global strategic stability.

This statement was made by the official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China Zhang Xiaogang. It is published on the department's page in the Chinese WeChat messenger.

"A series of destructive steps by the United States in the field of nuclear arms control, including withdrawal from agreements, has become the largest source of destabilization of the international nuclear order and global strategic stability," the military spokesman said.

He also noted that Washington has the world's largest nuclear arsenal and also adheres to the preventive concept of the use of weapons of mass destruction.

Zhang Xiaogang recalled that the United States is investing heavily to finance relevant projects and has already made statements about its intention to resume testing.

The statement said that China insists that the United States faithfully fulfill its obligations under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, as well as regarding the corresponding moratorium.
