Russia and Iran is stepping up cooperation in the field of food security and energy. This was announced by Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev on the sidelines of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Tehran.
"We have prepared a program on Iran's food security. We have established a joint working group that is preparing the details of this program. In short, I can say that we are talking, among other things, about large supplies of wheat," he said.
In addition, the construction of the second and third power units of the Bushehr NPP is continuing, and options for the construction of other power units are being discussed.
According to Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, Tehran welcomes the wider participation of Russian companies in the joint development of oil and gas fields.
"As for the oil fields, I should add that we only welcome all Russian companies that are interested in the development of these fields, oil and gas fields, in matters of investments and joint work," he said.
It should be noted that the day before the minister took part in the opening ceremony of the Russian Cultural Center in Tehran. It was also attended by the Russian Ambassador to Alexey Dedov and the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov visited Iran.
