Switzerland has committed itself to ensuring the safety of the flight of the Russian delegation to the talks on Ukraine in Geneva, TASS reports, citing a source.
"Of course, Switzerland, as a host venue, will play a role in ensuring the safety of the arrival of delegations," the source told the agency.
Negotiations on Ukraine in Geneva will be held from February 17 to 18, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier. The meeting will be trilateral. The Russian delegation will be headed by Presidential Aide Vladimir Medinsky. The media wrote that Moscow would be represented at these talks by a delegation of 15-20 people. This decision is associated with a large number of topics for discussion.
In addition, Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, will hold talks with US representatives in Geneva. Sources noted that he would not be part of the delegation that would participate in the trilateral negotiations.
The previous two rounds of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict were held in Abu Dhabi on February 4-5 and January 23-24. The parties assessed the negotiations as constructive.
