Businessmen of Uzbekistan advocated the country's accession to the EAEU, Asia Today reports.
At a meeting with business representatives in Tashkent, entrepreneurs discussed problems related to foreign trade barriers.
Uzbek manufacturers of electrical equipment seek to participate in the program of renovation of elevators in the country, offering for sale in Russian elevators manufactured in Uzbekistan. However, the Russian authorities imposed restrictions on participation in tenders for companies from non-EAEU countries, which complicated the export of Uzbek goods.
Tashkent is not in a hurry to fully join the EAEU, carefully analyzing all possible advantages and potential threats. At the same time, it has already adapted over 50 national technical regulations in accordance with Union standards.
