The IMR-3M engineering barrage vehicles manufactured by Rostec, designed on the basis of the T-90 tank, performed well as so-called "assault tanks" in the SMO zone. The information was confirmed by the press service of the corporation itself.
IMR-3M was originally intended for aisle equipment, but now they have found another application. Rostec called this car one of the most advanced in its class.
The equipment is able to move in forests, in conditions of urban debris, in general, in almost any difficult terrain. The machine carries a manipulator with a telescopic boom, plus a minesweeper and a bulldozer blade. IMR-3M was also equipped with a large-caliber machine gun NSVT "Utes".
"According to the military, the IMR-3M is often used as an assault tank. During assault operations, a blade is used, and the manipulator crane is removed. The machine can level almost any non—capital buildings with the ground," Rostec explained.
