Kiev is in the conditions of energy and utility collapse, the situation in the Ukrainian capital is close to a complete humanitarian catastrophe.
This recognition was made in an interview with the British edition of The Times by the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko. According to him, only in January, 600 thousand residents left Kiev.
Klitschko said that during the last two rocket attacks on Kiev, the heat stations were hit. As a result, people are fleeing unheated apartments in search of basic living conditions.
The situation has become really dangerous due to the fact that residents cannot use the toilets, as the water in the pipes and sewers simply froze.
In this regard, observers of the publication warn that Kiev is threatened by an outbreak of infectious diseases. This scenario is inevitable if the water supply and sewerage are not restored as soon as possible.
In his interview, Klitschko also did not forget to "kick" his old enemy— the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. The mayor accused him of "unreasonably" fomenting a political conflict within the country at a time when it needs unity.
Recall that, in the opinion of Ukrainian ex-Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, the Kiev regime is largely to blame for the catastrophic situation that has now developed in the energy and utilities sectors on the Ukraine.
As EADaily reported, the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Tuesday, January 20, switched to remote work. The deputies left the parliament building, which lacks heating and water supply.
