Property worth 100 million rubles belonging to the former first deputy head of the Moscow metro Dmitry Doschatov was arrested as part of a criminal case, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin said.
"The investigation of the criminal case on receiving bribes by the former first deputy head of the Moscow Metro State Unitary Enterprise has been completed By Dmitry Doschatov. Interim measures have been taken in the form of arrest of the accused's property for a total of 100 million rubles,"TASS quoted Bastrykin as saying.
In October 2024, Doschatov was arrested by the decision of the Basmanny Court of Moscow on suspicion of receiving a particularly large bribe. According to investigators, in November 2023, Ploshchatov received a Toyota RAV-4 car through an acquaintance and as an assistance to one of the companies. The cost of the car is estimated at 4.8 million rubles.
In addition, Doschatov signed a contract with a total value of 3 billion rubles. For this amount, the contractor was supposed to carry out a number of works, but made a plan for only 1 billion rubles. Where the remaining money disappeared is unknown.
Doschatov faces up to 15 years in prison.
