US President Donald Trump believes that Vladimir Zelensky is serious about peace. He stated this during a meeting with the Ukrainian leader at his estate in Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
"Too many people have died, and I think both presidents want to make a deal. I really believe that we have all the elements of a deal that will be beneficial for Ukraine, good for everyone," Trump said, quoted by Sky News.
According to Trump, a "strong" security agreement will be concluded for Ukraine and "European countries are actively participating in this."
"I think the European countries have really performed well, and they fully agree with this meeting in striving to conclude a deal. They are all wonderful people," Trump added.
