Fifty psychiatric hospitals in Germany refused to accept a 14-year-old girl, so she is temporarily isolated in a secure container. It is reported by the German newspaper Bild.
"An emergency solution has been found in Germany for a 14-year-old girl from Paderborn, which the authorities consider extremely dangerous. A teenager who attacked a nurse with a knife in August will be temporarily housed in a specially equipped container in a strictly guarded area. The container will be installed in Paderborn County, it will be converted to individual accommodation, and the security service will be on duty around the clock. The investigation claims that the girl became radicalized on the Internet, discussed plans for attacks and talked about her intention to kill policemen," the Bild telegram channel in Russian writes*.
It is noted that almost 50 psychiatric institutions of the country refused to accept the teenager. In the summer, the girl was placed in a guarded tourist complex, from where she escaped twice. During one of the incidents, she threatened a policeman with a piece of glass. Then the girl attacked a nurse at the clinic with a kitchen knife in Paderborn and seriously wounded her.
The authorities stressed that the placement of the girl in the container is a temporary measure. After the attack on the nurse, she was taken into custody and sent to a closed facility in Hamma, but they don't want to leave her there for a long time either: radicalization itself is not considered a mental illness, and a teenager cannot be sent to prison because of the age at the time of the crimes.
