Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin awarded People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Union of Theatrical Figures of Russia Vladimir Mashkov with a certificate of honor. This was reported by the press service of the department.

Bastrykin presented Mashkov with a certificate of honor and wished him success in artistic leadership, to preserve and multiply the traditions laid down by his legendary teacher Oleg Tabakov, as well as to ensure that the activities of the The Union of Theatrical Figures of Russia has always responded to modern challenges.

The award ceremony was held as part of Mashkov's meeting with employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia. Mashkov told about his creative path from a student of the Novosibirsk Theater School to the artistic director of the legendary Moscow theaters, shared his personal experience of embodying the image of Gotsman in the series "Liquidation". Especially interesting was the actor's story about unforeseen situations on the set of the films "Crew" and "Edge", even life-threatening.

"The profession of an investigator and an artist are very similar. We have to explore our character. These vocations require complete dedication and iron character from a person," Mashkov said.

As EADaily reported, in May of this year Bastrykin awarded a certificate of honor to the performer of the hit "Mother Earth" Tatyana Kurtukova.
