The meeting of the Ukrainian and American negotiating groups in Miami, Florida, on the settlement of the crisis has ended, it has not yet been possible to reach final agreements. This was stated to journalists after the negotiations by the head of the US State Department Marco Rubio.
"Today's meeting with Ukrainians was quite productive. We still have something to work on," he said.
"Our goal here is to end the war, but it is more than just to end the war ... and therefore it is comprehensive, what we are working on here today. This is not only about the conditions that stop the fighting, it is also about the conditions that create long-term prosperity for Ukraine. I thought we started laying the groundwork for this, certainly in Geneva… It's delicate, it's complicated, there are a lot of moving parts here, and obviously there is another side involved here that will have to become part of the equation, and this will continue later this week when Steve Witkoff goes to Moscow, although we have also been in contact with the Russian side to varying degrees, but we have a pretty good understanding of them views too," said Rubio, quoted by the telegram channel "Donald Trump in Russian."
According to the head of the State Department, additional progress was made at today's meeting, while, according to him, the United States understands how difficult it is, but is optimistic.
