The committees of the US Senate and House of Representatives said they would tighten control over the Pentagon after the publication in the media of a message about the verbal order of the Minister of War Pete Hegseth to kill all crew members on board a ship suspected of drug smuggling in the Caribbean. This is reported by the Washington Post, citing sources.
A live broadcast from a drone showed how two survivors of the 11 people of the original crew held on to the wreckage of their boat after the first missile attack, the publication said.
"The commander of the special operations forces, who led the operation, ordered a second strike in accordance with Hegseth's directive, according to two sources with direct knowledge of the operation," the newspaper writes.
As a result, both survivors died.
