French President Emmanuel Macron calls for an end to the supply of weapons to Israel for the sake of resolving the conflict in Gaza, it's a shame. This was stated in a video message in English, which was distributed by his office, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"While Israel is fighting the forces of barbarism led by Iran, all civilized countries should stand firmly on the side of Israel. However, President Macron and some other Western leaders are now calling for an arms embargo on Israel. Shame on them," said Netanyahu, quoted by TASS.

"We have an obligation to respond to Iran — and we will do it," the Israeli prime minister said in a video message broadcast on Israeli television channels on Saturday evening, the Jerusalem Post writes, in turn.

The statement was made at a time when the world is awaiting Israel's response to Iran's rocket attack on Tuesday.

"Iran has already fired twice (at Israel. — EADaily), and we intercepted hundreds of missiles in the largest ballistic missile attack in history. No country in the world would accept such an attack, and neither would Israel, and we will respond to these attacks," Netanyahu concluded.

It is noted that Netanyahu's comments came about half an hour after IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari made a press statement to report on the IDF's achievements. Hagari also touched upon the topic of a retaliatory strike against Iran.

"The IDF will respond to Iran at the time and in the manner it sees fit," he said.

As EADaily reported, it is necessary to stop supplying weapons to Israel for the sake of resolving the conflict in the Middle East. This was stated on France Inter radio by French President Emmanuel Macron.

"I believe that today the priority is to return to a political settlement of the conflict and stop supplying weapons for fighting in Gaza," Macron said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
