Singer, People's Artist of Russia Stas Mikhailov no longer plans to visit European countries because of anti-Russian sentiments in the EU. He stated this to Channel Five.
Mikhailov noted that he had visited many countries, even Australia and New Zealand, but with the current attitude towards Russian citizens, he was not drawn to Europe.
"I loved and by I've been to Europe and I've been to a lot of places. Probably everywhere, starting from Australia and New Zealand — I've been to a lot of places. But with the attitude I have now in Europe, I don't want to go there. I can, but I don't want to," said the singer.
According to Mikhailov, after some time, European countries themselves will ask Russian tourists to return to them.
"I understand one simple thing: you need to go where they are waiting for you. That's where they don't wait for you, even with your money, you don't have to go and ask, bow to them. The time will come, they will ask for it themselves. They will also ask the Russians to come to them. Believe that it will be so. It is necessary to live up to this moment. You should never humiliate yourself in front of them," the artist concluded.
As EADaily reported, earlier, theater and film actor, People's Artist of Russia Viktor Sukhorukov was denied a Schengen visa to travel to Germany to visit an old friend.
According to the artist, the German embassy explained the refusal for two reasons.
"First item: "One or more Member States The EU believes that you are a threat to their international relations." Second item: "One or more Member States The EU considers that you pose a threat to public order or internal security," he quoted the points of the official refusal.
