Theater and cinema actor, People's Artist of Russia Viktor Sukhorukov was refused a Schengen visa to travel to Germany to visit an old friend. The artist reported this to the Moscow GazeteMetro.
According to the artist, the German embassy explained the refusal for two reasons.
"First item: "One or more Member States The EU believes that you are a threat to their international relations." Second item: "One or more Member States The EU believes that you pose a threat to public order or internal security," Sukhorukov quotes the reply given to him.
With a laugh, the artist called himself "cool", recalling the Maxim machine gun from "Brother-2", where he starred.
"Hung on an actor from What are the passions of Russia ― without five minutes an international terrorist, consider. There is no truth on earth, and in Europe, apparently, there is not even one. They could reproach me with anything, say that I am a pensioner. And it turned out that I was a threat and a danger. Miracles!", — the actor reacts with humor.
Sukhorukov noted that he gave 13 thousand rubles to the intermediary agency in filing documents and paid the visa fee.
"I do not worry and do not grieve about this, moreover, I am not outraged, I am just in the greatest bewilderment at the degradation of these gentlemen who tell us about liberalism, freedom, democracy. And here's how they behave. If they are afraid of the Maxim machine gun, then we will arrive by tank, no problem," he promised.
As EADaily reported, in October of this year, the star of the films "Brother" and "Brother-2" spoke for the first time about how he was affected by the sanctions of Ukraine, which were introduced in 2023 amid support for a special military operation.
"I am at home, among my people. I am devoted and serve my Fatherland," Sukhorukov said.
