German composer Konstantin Wecker confessed to a long-term "relationship" with a girl who was 15 years old at the time of acquaintance. This is reported by the Bild portal.

A 30-year-old woman accused a 78-year-old musician of having an intimate relationship when she was a teenager. At the time of the acquaintance, Vekker was 63 years old, the victim was in school, she was 15 years old. Physical contact first occurred when she was 16, in Germany in most cases this is considered the age of consent.

The woman explained that several times she intended to go to court with her story. Only now she decided to do it.

"As an adult, I want to stand up for myself as a 15-year—old, because then no one did it," she said.

According to the woman, whom the publication calls Johanna, it was a traumatic experience for her, and she continues to undergo therapy now. However, she did not seek to initiate criminal proceedings.

Vekker admitted all charges, passing a statement through his lawyer, noting that he does not remember everything that happened.

According to him, it was a "consensual relationship with a young woman," which, however, "constitutes completely inappropriate behavior from a moral point of view." In addition, at that time he abused alcohol and was "not in his right mind." Also at that time, Wecker was married, the divorce took place in 2013.

"I would like to apologize to the woman to whom I am guilty. I would also like to apologize to my fans that my music is not the only thing they have to think about right now," the statement also says.

Konstantin Wecker is now one of the most famous German composers and singers. During his career, the musician has released about 40 albums, and he has also written music for cinema, theater and children's musicals.
