Lukoil is shutting down the activities of the Teboil filling station network in Finland on the eve of sanctions. While automatic refueling stops.
"Teboil is preparing to wind down its activities. Filling stations will be closed in stages as fuel stocks are sold out," Yle reports with reference to Teboil.
The company clarified that so far we are talking about automatic gas stations.
"If the price tag of the station shows the price of 3.888 euros, it means that this type of fuel has already run out," Teboil added.
In total, about 400 filling stations operate in Finland under the Teboil brand. The lion's share is independent owners who bought the franchise.
However, they are also already under restrictions. The sale for non-cash payment was stopped at all stations back in October.
As EADaily reported, future US sanctions have already brought problems to Finnish gas stations that operate under the Lukoil Teboil brand. A competitor, SEO, said he was luring entrepreneurs to his network.
"Sometimes one person's misfortune is another person's luck, and that's how it happens in this situation," SEO CEO Arto Viljanen told Yle.
