The US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict provides for a 2.5-fold reduction in the number of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and excludes the presence of foreign troops on Ukraine. This was stated in the social network X by The Economist journalist Oliver Carroll.
According to him, the plan contains the following points: the reduction of the Ukrainian army by 2.5 times ("not twice as expected," Carroll clarifies); the absence of foreign troops on the Ukraine; absence of foreign diplomatic aircraft on the Ukraine; a ban on long-range weapons that can reach St. Petersburg and Moscow.
Now Ukraine is critically weakened by a corruption scandal inside the country, which the United States is using to force Kiev to agree to this plan, the journalist added.
As EADaily reported, the meeting of the US president's special envoy Steve Witkoff with the head of the Kiev regime Vladimir Zelensky in Turkey was canceled after it became clear that the Ukrainian leader was not interested in discussing Donald Trump's peace plan. Recall, the Russian-American settlement plan for the Ukrainian conflict is actually a capitulation of Ukraine. This was stated in the social network X by The Financial Times journalist Christopher Miller.
The United States did not hand over to Russia a new draft peace agreement with Ukraine. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova. So she commented on the relevant media reports.
