The Ministry of Defense told about the retaliatory strike after the missile attack on Voronezh

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has issued an official statement regarding the attack by long-range American missiles on the city of Voronezh.

The corresponding report was published on Wednesday morning, November 19, by the press service of the military department on its official resources.

"On November 18, 2025, at 14.31 Moscow time, the Kiev regime attempted to launch a missile attack on civilian targets deep in the territory of the Russian Federation. The enemy used four US-made ATACMS tactical missiles in the city of Voronezh," the release says.

It is alleged that all enemy ATACMS missiles were shot down during the anti-missile battle by Russian combat crews of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system and the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and cannon complex.

"The fallen fragments of the destroyed missiles damaged the roofs of the Voronezh Regional Gerontological Center and an orphanage for orphaned children, as well as one private household. There are no casualties among civilians," the Defense Ministry stated.

The Ministry also reported a retaliatory strike after the air reconnaissance means of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation promptly established the launch site of the ATACMS missiles in the Kharkiv region.

It is specified that in the area of the settlement of Volos Balakleya (50 km south-east of the locality of Chuguev) two launchers of MLRS multiple launch rocket systems manufactured in the USA were found.

"The Iskander-M combat crew launched a missile strike on the missile position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as a result of which two MLRS launchers with ammunition, as well as combat crew personnel (up to 10 people), were destroyed," the military ministry reported.

As reported by EADaily, earlier the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced a strike on military facilities in Russia with long-range American ATACMS missiles.
