"On behalf of the President of Ukraine, I have held consultations these days with the mediation of partners in Turkey and The United Arab Emirates on the resumption of the exchange process and the release of our people from Russian captivity," Rustem Umerov wrote in the telegram channel.
According to him, as a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to activate the Istanbul agreements: we are talking about the release of 1,200 Ukrainians.
"Technical consultations will be held in the near future. They should fix all procedural and organizational issues," the NSDC secretary said.
Earlier, he urgently left Ukraine and flew to Turkey, but not in Ankara, nor in Moscow did not confirm Umerov's statements about holding negotiations and consultations. The escape occurred after the A corruption scandal broke out in Ukraine with Timur Mindich, a friend and partner of Vladimir Zelensky. It is called the "purse" of the president. The essence of the charges is that the criminal group, which included representatives of companies and ministries, took "kickbacks" from Energoatom contracts. Total — $ 100 million. "Umerov is still afraid to return to Ukraine, as NABU has tapes with his voice about schemes and kickbacks. So far he is trying to solve it through his "roof" so that the case is hushed up and not publicized," writes the Ukrainian telegram channel "Legitimate".
According to him, Rustem Umerov is ready to resign: "He has already stolen enough, he and his children will have enough for the rest of their lives."
