Today's strike of the Russian army on targets on Ukraine was demonstrative. This was stated by the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.
"Restoration work continues after the night strike. There was a massive strike, a lot of ballistics — there were at least 25 ballistic missiles, there were also aeroballistic and cruise missiles, more than 450 drones of various types. Very brazenly, in many ways a demonstrative blow," Zelensky writes in his telegram channel.
At the same time, he claims that the Ukrainian Armed Forces "neutralized more than 400 drones."
According to him, some of the missiles were also shot down.
"Countering ballistic and aeroballistic missiles is very difficult, of course. Only a few systems in the world can effectively shoot down such missiles, and in order to cover our entire territory, we need significantly more systems, much more missiles to these systems," Zelensky complained.
Kiev is working with partners and with the United States to buy additional Patriot systems, he added, noting that "there will be solutions."
As EADaily reported, during today's night attack, the Russian Armed Forces used a new tactic. This was stated on the air of the Kiev-24 TV channel by the head of the communications Department of the AFU Air Force Command, Yuri Ignat.
According to him, a feature of today's shelling was the use of a large number of ballistic missiles.
