The military command of the Kiev regime is building up its grouping in the occupied Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic, intending to hold the city at any cost.
This was told to the TASS news agency by military expert Vitaly Kiselyov. According to him, sapper units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are mining residential high-rise buildings in the center of the settlement.
At the same time, Ukrainian militants forbid the civilian population of Konstantinovka to evacuate under threat of physical violence. Thus, the residents of the city found themselves in the position of hostages, whom the Ukrainian Armed Forces will use as a "human shield".
"They banned the withdrawal of the local population from Konstantinovka, and under threat of life and health. Houses are likely to be mined. I mean high-rise buildings. Because they will not leave anything in the center. They have repeatedly said this," the expert said.
He added that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been preparing Konstantinovka for defense since the beginning of the year. Part of the defensive complex is an extensive system of underground passages.
Earlier, EADaily reported that, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Konstantinovka may be among the cities that will come under Russian control by the end of this year.
