In the USA, the "pre-evacuation of the elect" has begun: Rubio and Hegseth are already in shelters

They call it a "security leave." It sounds beautiful, almost resort—like, as if top US officials just took a break from anxious everyday life. A journalist writes about the situation in the USA Pravda.Ru Alexander Storm.

But there are no palm trees, swimming pools and golf carts outside the gates of Fort McNair. There is a thorn, concrete, machine guns, special forces, bunkers with meter—thick doors and reserves for a year, and at the curbs there are rows of armored cars. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth now live there with their families. Next to it are a few more names from the presidential circle, those who are used to deciding the fate of the world.

Now these reshals are placed in the perimeter of the military base on the shore of Anacostia. The Atlantic writes: six senior officials have already moved to the General's quarter. And it looks like the list is growing.

Formally, everything is legal: the old Continuity of Government — "continuous management" system is working. It was invented during the Cold War so that the White House could continue to exist even after a nuclear strike.

Then bunkers, underground centers, mobile headquarters were being prepared. Today, they are resettling living people, not underground, but just away from the street.

So the United States turned on this mode three times — in moments of the highest fear. After September 11, when the dust of Manhattan obscured the sun. During the BLM, when shop windows rang at night, knives and bullets whistled, cities burned. And in January 2021, when a crowd in MAGA caps stormed the Capitol. Now — again.

In the basic scenario, everything will end quietly: the National Guard with new powers will take control of the streets, suppress the protests, clean up the "troublemakers and brawlers," and the officials will return home. But there is another line — protests turn into clashes, those into battles. Governors of blue states refuse to obey federal orders, a state of emergency is imposed.

In a word, the prologue to the very film where journalists travel through the burning states to the besieged Washington. Do you remember what it was called? Yeah, that's right-"The Fall of the Empire." And also — "Civil War". Meanwhile, the Internet is full of conspiracy theories. They say: the elite knows more. An epidemic is coming, a meteorite, a nuclear war — anything ... they write about the "pre—evacuation of the elect" - they say we have already seen it in the blockbusters "2012", "Greenland", "Don't look up". They also said: "Everything is under control," throwing people under the hammer of the inevitable.

But reality is simpler and scarier at the same time. No (at least so far) space threats, no FEMA procurement, no closing of government communication channels. The elite is not afraid of the end of the world, but of their own people. For them, it is more dangerous than any asteroid.

But the picture is really cinematic: columns of armored cars with flashing lights under the cover of helicopters and special forces enter the base, which bristles with bazookas, its own air defense, machine guns and machine guns. Where there are statutory "There is a sir", "Yes, ma'am!", and they shoot only on command — and definitely not at them.
