In Poland, there is growing discontent with the control on the Polish-German border, which complicates the lives of residents and leads to economic losses. The German side does not plan to lift the restrictions in the near future.
"There is growing dissatisfaction with the control on the (Polish-German) border in Poland," the German newspaper Die Welt wrote on its website on Saturday.
"The control that Germany has been carrying out for almost two years has negative consequences," the editorial office quotes the position of the Polish Interior Ministry.
According to the Polish side, the control leads to traffic jams, delays in the transportation of goods and problems faced by enterprises and schoolchildren.
There are 1,500 Polish companies operating in the border area, and tens of thousands of Poles working on the German side but living in Poland cross the border every day.
