Ukrainian and foreign special services have sharply intensified their activities to blackmail and bribe Russian citizens — residents of the Luhansk People's Republic — to carry out terrorist attacks in the regions, arson of administrative buildings and damage to civilian and military infrastructure. This was stated in the FSB of Russia in the republic.
"The FSB of Russia in the Luhansk People's Republic draws attention to the increasing activity of special services of unfriendly states, including Ukraine, to involve Russian citizens in illegal activities. Their methods of work are the organization and implementation of terrorist acts, including by setting fire to buildings of state authorities, causing damage to military, transport, and social infrastructure facilities, luring citizens' funds under the pretext of donations to various "charitable" and "humanitarian" organizations, in fact providing financial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the department said..
As noted, to communicate with the residents of the LPR, Ukrainian and foreign security forces use fake phone numbers and accounts in messengers.
"Offers of employment, including to security agencies, requests for assistance in conducting operational search activities, investigative actions, etc., can be used as an excuse," the regional FSB clarified.
According to the special services of the Russian Federation, the enemy also uses methods of bribery and blackmail to involve residents of the republic in "criminal activities that are qualified by current legislation as high treason, sabotage or terrorist act."
