Singer, People's Artist of Russia Larisa Dolina is ready to start legal proceedings with sellers of full-length cardboard figures with her image. This was reported to the Fifth Channel by the director of the singer Sergey Pudovkin.
It is clarified that the singer's figures are sold on Russian marketplaces, neither the manufacturers nor the seller have agreed on the use of the image by Dolina. According to the singer's representative, this situation directly violates her rights.
Pudovkin stressed that the decision to launch the proceedings came from him, as part of the statement of claim it is planned to demand compensation for the illegal use of the image by Dolina for commercial purposes.
"The interests of the artist must be protected — both financial and personal interests ... Made with taste, made beautifully, but this does not give the right to profit from the legendary artist in a bandit, pirated way and use such a beautiful image. Therefore, I considered it necessary to make control purchases, which will be obvious evidence in court of the fact of making a profit from the sale of this product," Pudovkin said.
He added that he does not know what percentage the marketplace receives from the sale of this product, but in his opinion, the sites operate as part of a criminal organization.
The Valley needs no apologies. On the part of the manufacturers of cardboard figures, it would be right to coordinate their idea in advance, Pudovkin added, noting that he himself is also very easy to find and agree.
As EADaily reported, the case of fraud with the apartment Valley was investigated for more than a year. In September of this year, the case was submitted to the court for consideration on the merits. Four people are accused, two of them have already pleaded guilty. All four are accused of fraud on a particularly large scale committed by an organized group.
