Police in St. Petersburg is looking for unknown people who put out the Eternal Flame on The Field of Mars. This was reported by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region in the telegram channel.
Law enforcement officers received a message that the Eternal Flame was extinguished on September 30.
"Having studied the CCTV footage, the police found that around midnight two unknown people poured Eternal Flame from a bottle and disappeared," the report said.
Currently, an orientation has been drawn up to search for intruders. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.
Recall the Eternal Flame on The Field of Mars was lit in November 1957. He became the first Eternal flame in the country.
