US President Donald Trump believes that the reason for the war in Ukraine was the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. He stated this today, speaking to senior officers at a military base in Virginia.

"We had a terrible performance in Afghanistan, which is, I think, the reason why Putin entered there (Ukraine. — EADaily). According to the American leader, the US withdrawal from Afghanistan was the most shameful day in the history of the United States. He stressed that he would not allow this to happen again.

Trump expressed his point of view on the beginning of SMO, talking about the settlement of the conflict. He noted that the United States "will have to settle one issue" with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine by Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky. "We need to get them together and do it. But the only way to do that is by force," he explained.
