The loss of part of the territories for Ukraine is an optimistic scenario if it joins Europe at the same time. This was stated in an interview with the newspaper "Observer" by former Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
"I have only an indefinite optimistic scenario. Ukraine survives this war as a state, comes out of it stronger, bloodied, but as a state, as a nation stronger, returns to the Western world, from where we were stolen 300 years ago, without part of the territories, but also without legal recognition of the loss of these territories," Kuleba said, quoted by the publication. "Время.иа ".
After the "return", he sees two ways of developing events. The first is a Danish or Finnish script: these countries lost territories, accepted this and began to build states within the changed borders. However, Kuleba does not like this prospect.
"I am not a supporter of this scenario, but these are historical examples when the people and the elite make such a decision," he said.
The second way, he said, is the Azerbaijani—Armenian way, when they try to return the territories by military or diplomatic means, but this process will take decades.
